League Play
Leagues
League play is a club wide event where set teams play against each other over the course of a season. League play differs from pick-up-play in that each team's makeup remains the same throughout the league season. Different leagues will also have different formats to determine winners. For example, our summer league features round robin play with points based seeding for a final playoff over the course of 5 weeks.
Charleston Curling Club leagues are a flat fee to participate, rather than per-game. This is to encourage registrants to attend all of the games in the League. Substitions are allowed; however, it would the responsibility of the absent player to identify their substitute. The absent player and substitute would also work out any reimbursements amongst themselves.
Most all leagues are individual sign ups, this allows our league director to help matchmake teams based on experience to encourage even competition. The exception is our mentor league, which is an instructional focused rather than competitive.
