The Carolina Ice Palance and Charleston Curling Club would love to host your group. Corporate team building, scout troops, family reunions, birthday parties, civic clubs, etc. We can give your group the chance to experience curling in a fun and safe environment!
How do we book?
If you have a smaller group (16 or fewer) it may be most cost effective to schedule during one of our regular Learn To Curls. This way your group is not responsible for the entire ice cost that evening. Get in touch with us via email @ This email address is being protected from spambots. If you have a larger group (17-32), a whole-ice rental may make the most since. As an arena club the Charleston Curling Club does not control ice scheduling. We can however work with you and the Carolina Ice Palace to find a date. Whole ice rentals are custom priced based on the demand for the ice at Carolina Ice Palace. We may be able to accomodate even larger groups (32+) with some modifications to our Lear To Curl Program. Get in touch and tell us about your group and needs and we'll see if we can tailor an experience to suit.
What will we do?
We structure our Learn To Curl events around a 2 hour block.
- 10 Minutes safety, stretching, and orientation with ice & equipment
- 45 Minutes sweeping and stone throwing fundementals.
- 1 hour instructed game, covering rules and strategy as you play
- 5 min wrap up
What do we need to bring?
We have all the equipment you will need to play. We just ask that everyone wear clean athletic shoes, pants comfortable for stretching (lunge, squat motions), and clothes comfortable in the cold.
Is there a warm room or space we could meet/socialize before/after?
The Carolina Ice Palace has event space within the facility, including their restauraunt & bar The Penalty Box. We'd be happy to inquire on your behalf about their availability when setting up a group rental.
