Upgrading your gear?
If your old gear is still in working condition, consider donating it to the Charleston Curling Club.
While we have ice making gear, brooms, grippers, stabilizers, delivery sticks and sliders; some of them are approaching the limits of maintainability. Your equipment donation would help us to phase out some of this gear in favor of those who may have a few more seasons of light use in them.
Did you know that many folks replace their grippers once a season? This rule of thumb is mostly applies to dedicated ice, once a week+ usage. Those grippers can still have quite a bit of life left on them when used in less frequent settings like our Learn To Curls.
