6:30 pm	Summer League 2026 Carolina Ice Palace Take your skills to the next level and have fun while you vie for the championship during our 2026 SUMMER LEAGUE! SIXTEEN GAMES in just 10 weeks (Wednesdays, June 3 to August 5, 6:30 pm). Pre-register NOW to hold your spot-- $100 deposit requested; remainder due May 31. Prerequisite: participation in a Learn-to-Curl within the last two yearsHaven't attended a Learn-to-Curl? Register for one here: https://charlestoncurlingclub.com/index.php/learn-to-curl/learn-to-curl-with-us League structure: Multiple round-robin format; win-loss record will determine champion Tiebreaker: head-to-head record 16 game guarantee; at least one game per date. Multiple nights will be double-draws (back-to-back games) During "bye" draws your team will be leading Learn-to-Curl lessons. (If you are new to curling there will be experienced players to lead, and you are encouraged to assist.) Detailed rules and game schedule to be distributed closer to league start Team setup: Teams of 3-4 players will be set by the League Commissioner Players may request ONE (1) player they would like to be on a team with. No daisy-chaining of teammate requests. Example of what is not allowed: Mary, John, Jane and Mark want to play together, so Mary asks to be on a team with John, and John asks to be on a team with Jane, and Jane asks to be on a team with Mark, and Mark asks to be on a team with Jane. This request will NOT be honored. Team members should play on the assigned team (i.e. a team member cannot sub on another team while their assigned team is playing) At least one member of the original team must be present to count toward the team's win-loss record Teams of 3 may be asked to incorporate a learner/ new member/ pickup player on any given night League members must get their own subs (new curlers, don't stress-- your team can help you with that!) 6:30 pm	Learn to Curl - July 8, 2026 Carolina Ice Palace This is your chance to get on the ice (no skates needed!) and learn how to play this fun Olympic sport. Following a brief warm-up, your trainers will escort you to the ice where you will learn fundamentals of throwing stones and sweeping. You will also learn about how you can play, right here in Charleston! After our ice time is complete, please join us for a curling tradition called "broomstacking" where the curlers get together with food and friends. Curling is an adaptive sport, so if your knees or back are a concern, we can show you how to curl without bending or crouching. Please contact us if you are interested in wheelchair curling and other adaptive options. Dress warmly-- the ice is cold! - Warm socks - Clean tennis shoes - Comfortable pants that will allow movement. Jeans are NOT sufficiently flexible for curling. - Warm layers - Optional: Hat and gloves Registrants must be 18 years of age or older. $50 per person.
