Terms and Conditions
Registration Required
The Charleston Curling Club offers a limited number of slots at each event. The number of slots offered depends on the availability of equipment and personnel.
Each participant must reserve their slot through our registration process. Registrations may be individual or group based. Successful registration requires the name, email address, phone number and full payment for each participant.
It's recommended to register through our website to reserve the slot instantly. The club may accept walk-ups for open slots with payment and on the spot registration
Eligibility
Adults aged 18 years or older are eligible to register for an event.
Youth ages 16 or 17 may register if accompanied by a registered parent or legal guardian.
The club's directors may grant exceptions to youth under 15 under the following:

The parent/legal guardian of the youth is a current club member in good standing.

The parent/legal guardian of the youth is participating in the same event.

The youth has demonstrated the ability to safely use Charleston Curling Club equipment.

A club director with current training and screening from U.S. SafeSport is present during the event.
Waitlisting
The Charleston Curling Club will start a waitlist when all slots for an event are reserved. If slots open, the Charleston Curling Club will notify waitlisted registrants. Notification order is based on the slots available, group size, and time on waitlist.
The notification will state the number of slots held and a deadline for payment. Full payment is required to finalize the reservation. The club sends a confirmation email once payment is received.
If payment is not received by the deadline the club will offer the slots to the next wait listees.
Cancellations by Participants
Event registration fees are non-refundable when the participant does not attend.
If given at least 48 hours notice of cancellation, the Charleston Curling Club will attempt to transfer their registration to another date. Transfers are not guaranteed and depend on availability.

Refused Entry
The Charleston Curling Club reserves the right to refuse entry to the event for any legal reason. Entry will be refused to anyone appearing impaired by drugs or alcohol. The present board members will make this determination based on their opinion.
All participants must have a completed liability waiver on file with the club. Liability wavers are valid only for are for the current calendar year.
Removal
COVID-19
Assume the Risk. Consider your particular situation and whether you want to assume the risk. To participate, you must sign our release and acknowledgement of this risk.

If you have a fever, cough, or other symptoms, or have displayed these symptoms within the last 72 hours.

If you have been in close contact with someone who is suspected of having COVID-19 within the last 72 hours.

If you have had a positive COVID-19 test within the last 14 days.
Registered participants should notify the club as soon as possible if unable to attend due to the above.. The club will gladly transfer the reservation to a future date.
The Carolina Ice Palace and Charleston Curling Club encourages, but does not require participants, to be masked both on and off the ice.
Participants should be mindful of social distance. Maintain 6+ feet of separation when possible.
Keeping with the Spirit of Curling, participants should respect one another's requests for accommodation. Options include:

- Single Sweeping
- Skip selection
- Alternating sheet start directions
Revisions to Terms and Conditions
The Charleston Curling Club may, at any time, and at our sole discretion, modify these Terms and Conditions, with or without notice to participants. Any such modification will be effective immediately upon public posting. Contiued use of our Service and this Site following any such modification constitutes your acceptance of these modified Terms
